Using the tools from the triad of Systems Thinking, Agile principles, and Lean 6 Sigma, I drive a people-centric methodology of problem discovery, definition and resolution. Always listening, and always learning, I aim to bring a holistic and empowering attitude to any situation, improving organisational culture through practical problem-solving. I believe in the power and viability of Trust, Honesty, and Transparency being established in organisations to bring out the best in their people and align everyone towards ‘pulling in the same direction’, delivering the right solutions to the right problems through building morale and culture. Problems of interest may be software/technical projects and determining the true ‘problem to be solved’ so there is minimal wasted effort developing the wrong things; running Kaizen events to diagnose complex issues and detect any quick wins; identifying root causes such as reasons for poor organisational culture and performance. I have been working in 'listening to people' and 'problem discovery' roles for many years - from Software Engineering to Product Management, Business Process Management, Operations and Consulting, arriving via Computer Science and Software Engineering. I have absorbed the principles of Agile along the way and expanded out to systems innovation and improvement through applying Systems Thinking in Practice (STiP) and Lean Six Sigma.
