About me

Hello, I’m Brindha Thiyagarajan, founder of Aval Agam. Maybe you already know journaling can help. You have saved breathing practices, watched psychology videos, told yourself to pause before reacting — and yet when real life becomes overwhelming, knowing what to do and actually being able to do it can feel very different. That gap is where I work with you. At Aval Agam, I don’t want to give you another list of things you should somehow go home and practise alone. I work with adult women through live, guided emotional-wellness experiences where we slow down enough to notice what is happening, understand what you are feeling or repeatedly carrying, and gradually explore different ways of responding in everyday life. My work follows a simple rhythm: Regulate → Reflect → Redirect We may begin with breathing, body awareness or grounding. We may use guided reflection, journaling, mindfulness or another experiential practice. In private work, I may also draw from my training in psychodynamic and experiential psychotherapy principles. But the technique is never the entire point. What matters is whether something we practice together becomes useful when life happens again — when you receive the difficult message, feel yourself becoming overwhelmed, struggle with guilt after saying no, or notice yourself returning to the same response. My role is not to tell you what your life should look like or make your decisions for you. I want to help you understand yourself with more curiosity, practice with support, discover what actually works for you and gradually become more able to carry that awareness into your own life. My background includes psychology education, child and adolescent counseling, training in psychodynamic and experiential approaches, and an M.A. in Yoga for Human Excellence. These different disciplines inform how I design and facilitate Aval Agam’s work, while keeping the scope firmly within non-clinical emotional wellness and reflective development. You can begin at the level that fits you: Experience first. Practise regularly. Explore privately. Or simply speak with me to understand where to begin. You do not need to choose the most expensive option. You need the level of support that actually fits you. Know • Grow • Thrive

Frequently asked questions

Why should I pay for guided emotional wellness when these practices are available online?

You absolutely can find breathing practices, journaling prompts, mindfulness exercises and guided practices online. What you are paying for with me is not access to a secret technique. You are paying for a structured live experience where you can actually stop, practice with guidance, notice how you respond and reflect on what is useful for you instead of saving one more exercise for “later.” In my private work, I can also understand your individual context and adapt the pace, questions and practices accordingly. A lot of women already know what they “should” be doing. The harder part is creating a space where they actually do it, understand what happens when they practice, and gradually learn what is workable in their own lives. My aim is not to make you dependent on me. It is to help practices that initially needed guidance become increasingly usable by you outside the session too.

How do I know which Aval Agam service I should book?

Start with what you need right now, not with the biggest program. If you mainly want help understanding which option fits, begin with the ₹199 Discovery Call. If you want to experience live group practice before joining regularly, choose the ₹99 Mindful Reset Circle Experience. If you want to privately experience how I guide Regulate + Reflect before considering deeper 1:1 work, choose the ₹699 Inner Clarity Introductory Session. If you want me to understand your individual situation in greater depth before we decide what kind of support fits, choose the ₹2,499 Personal Consultation. If you already know you want regular group practice, Mindful Reset Circle is ₹2,500/month. If you want occasional individual follow-ups without a program commitment, those are ₹2,500/session. Inner Clarity is for women wanting more consistent, personalised 1:1 work. You do not need the most expensive option. You need the option that matches the level of support you actually need.

What makes working with Brindha different from simply receiving advice?

I am not here to become the person who tells you how to live your life. I may ask questions, reflect something you have not considered, guide you through an experiential practice, help you notice a recurring response or invite you to experiment with something different. But the decision remains yours. I will not decide whether you should stay in a relationship, leave one, take a job, quit one or live according to my personal beliefs. My role is to help you slow down enough to understand what is happening within you, notice what belongs to you, and become clearer about how you want to respond. That distinction is central to Aval Agam: facilitation rather than control, and practice rather than another list of instructions.

Do I need to be in crisis to come to Aval Agam?

No. You can be functioning well on the outside and still feel emotionally crowded inside. Maybe you are managing work, family and responsibilities but find yourself becoming more reactive. Maybe guilt follows you whenever you choose yourself. Maybe you know something keeps repeating, but you cannot yet name it. Emotional wellness does not need to begin only after life becomes unmanageable. You can come simply because you want to understand yourself better, practice more consistently or create more space between what happens and how you respond.

What is Regulate → Reflect → Redirect?

It is the simple rhythm behind how I work. Regulate means creating enough inner space to notice what is happening instead of immediately operating on autopilot. This may involve grounding or body awareness techniques Reflect means becoming curious about what you are feeling, thinking, carrying or repeatedly responding to. Redirect means considering one more conscious response instead of automatically repeating the old one. It is not a rigid formula where every session has to look identical. Sometimes you may need more regulation. Another day may need more conversation and reflection. Sometimes Redirect is simply one small choice you are willing to practice differently. The framework remains consistent; the pace and practice can change.

Can I try Aval Agam before making a larger commitment?

Yes. I have deliberately created lower-commitment starting points because I do not expect you to invest in a larger program without understanding how I work. You can experience the Mindful Reset Circle for ₹99 as a first-time participant. If you prefer private guidance, you can experience the first two stages of Inner Clarity through the ₹699 private introductory session. If you are not even sure which direction makes sense, begin with the ₹199 Discovery Call. You are allowed to experience, ask questions and decide whether the approach fits you before making a deeper commitment.

What is the difference between Mindful Reset Circle and Inner Clarity?

They are not cheaper and more expensive versions of the same thing. They serve different needs. Mindful Reset Circle is for the woman who thinks: “I don't necessarily need my whole life unpacked. I need somewhere that keeps bringing me back to practice.” It focuses on regular guided breathing, mindfulness, body awareness, gentle movement, journaling and reflection. Inner Clarity becomes more relevant when you think: “I want this to be about my specific situation.” There, I have more opportunity to understand your individual circumstances, adapt practices, revisit what happens between sessions and work with you repeatedly over time. Neither pathway is automatically better. One is about consistent group practice; the other is about personalized individual support.

Do I need to share my personal history or traumatic experiences?

No. You only need to share what is relevant and what you are comfortable discussing. In Mindful Reset group experiences, you can participate in the practices without publicly sharing your private life. In a Personal Consultation or private work, I may ask about relevant family, career, relationship, routine or emotional context so I can understand what you are experiencing more accurately. But I will not push you into detailed trauma disclosure. Deep trauma processing is outside Aval Agam's scope. If significant trauma requires specialist treatment, I will recommend an appropriately qualified psychologist or psychotherapist rather than trying to take you somewhere I should not.

What happens if a practice doesn’t work for me?

Then we have learned something useful. Different women respond differently to breathing, journaling, imagery, body awareness, mindfulness and reflective practices. You may find one approach very natural and another frustrating. You may notice a lot during a practice or almost nothing. Neither means you failed. In private work, your response helps me decide whether we adapt, slow down, choose something different or simply talk more. The goal is not to make you excellent at every technique. The goal is to discover what becomes genuinely usable for you.

Is Aval Agam therapy or psychotherapy?

No. Aval Agam is a non-clinical emotional wellness and reflective-development space. My psychology education and training in psychodynamic and experiential approaches inform the questions I ask and some of the guided work I facilitate, but Aval Agam is not positioned as psychotherapy. It does not provide psychiatric diagnosis, crisis intervention, specialist trauma processing or medication management, and it should not replace appropriate psychological, psychiatric or medical treatment. If I believe what you are experiencing requires a different level of professional care, I would rather tell you that than enroll you into the wrong service. That professional boundary is intentional

Who is Brindha Thiyagarajan professionally?

I am the founder and primary facilitator of Aval Agam. My educational journey has moved across psychology, child and adolescent counselling, psychodynamic and experiential approaches, and an M.A. in Yoga for Human Excellence. I did not begin by collecting techniques and then searching for people to use them on. My own curiosity about thoughts, emotions and behaviour gradually led me across different disciplines — from mind-body practices into psychology and then into more reflective and experiential approaches. Today, I bring those areas together carefully within Aval Agam's emotional-wellness scope. I also do not position myself as someone who has completely “figured life out.” I value research, curiosity, professional boundaries and the ability to say, “This needs a different kind of support,” when that is the responsible answer.

Are Aval Agam sessions only for women?

Yes, Aval Agam's individual emotional-wellness services, Mindful Reset experiences and community programs are currently designed for women. That allows me to build the examples, conversations and practice environment around women's everyday realities without trying to make the community everything for everyone.

Can I attend from outside Coimbatore or India?

Yes. All the sessions are conducted in English. The language of Communication can be Tamil if opted but the practices will all be only in English, So any English Speaking can explore Aval Agam Most of Aval Agam's online experiences can be attended from wherever you live, all the service is listed in Aval Agam is online, Any offline Coimbatore availability will be stated separately on the relevant service page. Please check the displayed time zone carefully before confirming your booking.

What is the rescheduling policy?

For eligible 1:1 appointments, please reschedule through Topmate at least 24 hours before your scheduled session. Once we are within 24 hours of the appointment, the time has already been reserved for you and rescheduling is normally not available. Fixed-date group experiences, workshops and live events may not be movable to another date because the session is happening at a specific scheduled time. Please read the individual booking page before confirming. If Aval Agam needs to move your appointment, you will be offered an alternate arrangement.

What happens if I miss or no-show?

Please book a time you can realistically protect. For a missed 1:1 appointment or no-show, the reserved session is treated as used and the booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you are running late, please inform me as early as possible. The session will generally still need to end at the originally scheduled time so the next client's appointment is not affected. For fixed-date workshops or group experiences, missing the live session does not automatically create a replacement seat unless the individual service page specifically says otherwise. This policy protects the time that has been set aside for each booking while keeping scheduling predictable for everyone.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?

Once a booking is confirmed, the payment reserves either my time or your place in a scheduled live experience. For that reason, client-initiated cancellations are generally non-refundable unless the individual service page explicitly states otherwise. Where rescheduling is available, please use the rescheduling option at least 24 hours in advance. If Aval Agam cancels a paid booking and an appropriate alternative cannot be arranged, the applicable payment will be refunded or credited. Before paying, please review the individual service details carefully so you know the duration, format, inclusions and booking conditions.
