About me
I’m a therapist with a Masters in Counselling Psychology, and a lot of my interest in therapy comes from one question: how do the experiences we grow up with shape the person we become?
The way we relate to ourselves, the relationships we choose, how comfortable we are with closeness, how we respond to conflict, or even how we understand our own emotions can sometimes make more sense when we look at what we learnt about ourselves and relationships growing up.
I’m particularly interested in working with childhood emotional neglect, difficult childhood experiences, relationship and attachment patterns, self-worth, loneliness, and family dynamics. I care about creating a space where you can talk about these things without having to justify them, minimise them, or already know exactly what you need help with.
My approach to therapy is integrative. I draw from different approaches, including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Person-Centred Therapy, depending on what feels meaningful and useful for the person sitting across from me. More than following one particular technique, I value being curious about your individual story and finding ways of working that feel right for you.
I don’t believe therapy should be about someone telling you what to do or giving you a list of things to fix. I think it can be a place to pause and become a little more curious about yourself, to understand where certain patterns came from, notice how they show up in your life now, and gradually make choices that feel more like your own.
You also don’t need to come into therapy with a perfectly defined problem. Sometimes you just know that something feels difficult, that you keep getting stuck in the same place, or that you want to understand yourself a little better. That can be a starting point too.
