Hello Bridey, I'm Anwesha, founder and creative director of Your Bridesmaid (YBM), a bespoke bridal veil atelier dedicated to creating one-of-a-kind veils for brides across the world. My journey in fashion began long before YBM. During my college years, I designed handcrafted jewellery for my mother's boutique, NAKSA, with creations shipped across India. This early exposure to craftsmanship and entrepreneurship inspired me to pursue fashion professionally, leading me to study at NIFT Bangalore and later work with renowned fashion houses including Aditya Birla Fashion, Arvind Fashions, and Rare Rabbit. My experience across buying, trend forecasting, and product development gave me a strong foundation in design, quality, and global fashion standards. It was during my own bridal era that I discovered the profound beauty and significance of the bridal veil. What began as a personal exploration soon evolved into a passion for creating veils that were not merely accessories, but deeply meaningful pieces that reflected a bride's story, personality, and heritage. This vision became the foundation of Your Bridesmaid. Today, YBM has had the honour of being featured by VOGUE India and Anandabazar Patrika, and is known for its distinctive approach to bespoke bridal design. Every veil is thoughtfully created around the bride herself, drawing inspiration from art, culture, family traditions, personal milestones, and the unique details that make her story her own. From hand-dyed tulles and couture embroidery to custom illustrations, meaningful motifs, and heirloom-inspired details, each veil is meticulously crafted as a one-of-a-kind creation. No templates. No mass production. Just artistry, craftsmanship, and a design experience tailored exclusively to you. At YBM, I don't simply design veils.
