Hey! I'm Rupen 👋 I'm a Software Development Engineer III at Walmart, working on backend systems, scalable engineering and AI/LLM-driven solutions. My own journey has taken me through GATE → IIIT Bangalore (AI/ML) → Disney+ Hotstar → Walmart, with plenty of interviews, career decisions, mistakes and learning along the way. I've also had the opportunity to work on performance-critical systems, lead initiatives, collaborate across teams, and explore how AI can improve modern software engineering. Now, I want to make that experience useful to others. I mentor students and software engineers who are trying to: • Break into software engineering • Prepare for product-based company interviews • Improve their resume and LinkedIn profile • Decide what to learn and what to prioritize • Navigate job switches and career growth • Understand what actually matters in the industry My approach is simple: no generic motivational advice. I'll look at your specific situation, understand where you are today, and help you figure out what to do next. If you're confused about your career, stuck with your resume, preparing for your next opportunity, or simply want an honest perspective from someone who's been through the journey feel free to book a session. Let's figure out your next step.
