I’m Atul. I’m a product designer who gradually moved into design leadership, without ever wanting to move too far away from the work. I currently lead Design & Experience at zero, working across product, brand, and the systems that connect them. I lead a multidisciplinary group of product designers, illustrators, animators, 3D artists, writers, marketers, and engineers, while staying hands-on with the product myself. A large part of my work today is exploring what AI-native product design means in practice. My team uses AI to understand the codebase, prototype ideas, and ship production PRs alongside engineering. I’m optimistic about how AI can bring craft and implementation closer together, and expand what designers are capable of. Before zero, I spent nearly four years at CRED, following earlier chapters at Cult.fit, Media.net, and Toppr. Across these roles, I’ve worked on 0-to-1 products, consumer experiences at scale, product strategy, interaction design, and design systems. I also started a viral community called DesignDrug and have spoken at leading design institutes and community events across India. Through talks, podcasts, and conversations, I promote design, culture, craft and the opportunities AI is creating for designers.
