About me
Hi, I'm Mansi 👋
I did my B.Tech in Electronics & Communication at IET Lucknow, taught myself software, and spent three years at Standard Chartered Bank in Bangalore as a Senior Development Engineer. Along the way I picked up the unglamorous but career-defining things: microservices, Kafka, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
I’ve worked with a wide range of technologies including:
Languages: Java, Python, SQL, C++
Backend & Architecture: Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Event-Driven Architecture, Spring Modulith, ArchUnit, Drools, Multithreading
Messaging & Caching: Kafka, Solace, Redis
AI & ML: LangChain, RAG, Embeddings, Vector Search, LLM Applications, NLP, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn
Databases & Data: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Parquet, MinIO
Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps, Ansible, CI/CD, Git, HashiCorp Vault
Right now I'm doing my MSc in Computer Science (Advanced Software Development) at TU Dublin, and I'm a Google Summer of Code 2026 contributor with The Mifos Initiative / Apache Fineract, working on event-driven architecture in a real open-source codebase used by financial institutions worldwide. I'm AWS Cloud Practitioner certified.
Things I get asked a lot, and genuinely enjoy answering:
How do I actually get into GSoC? (Hint: it starts months before the proposal.)
I'm from a non-CS branch — can I still get a software job?
How do I make my first open-source contribution without feeling like an impostor?
Java/Spring Boot backend roles: what to learn, in what order, and what interviews really test.
Applying for a master's in Ireland/Europe — universities, funding, visas, and what it costs.
My resume gets no callbacks. What's wrong with it?
I'm not going to give you a generic roadmap you could have Googled. Bring your actual situation — your resume, your GitHub, the role you want — and we'll work backwards from it.
