I started my career crafting story-driven products for homes, which quickly evolved into pitching narratives for retail spaces, fashion brands, and F&B businesses in India. But after my master’s, my focus shifted from designing just the solutions. Instead of being obsessed with what to build, I became more curious and inquisitive about why we should build something at all! Unlocking the ‘whys’ and ‘hows’ behind creation and innovation became my driving force. Yet, if you ask me which skill from my designer days proved most valuable, it’s this: the ability to connect, weave, and pitch stories. In my past avatar, I told stories about why customers would buy our products. Now, I dive into the ecosystem as a whole—users, stakeholders, business, and product/services—analyzing insights, connecting the dots, defining behaviors, and giving customers a voice. My role evolved to spotting the gaps, defining the opportunities, estimating risks, and to shaping innovation. And just like before, I still tell stories, but now, they’re backed by research, crafted systematically, and narrated to guide products and businesses with clarity and conviction.
