About me

Hello! I'm Helena Yágüez, a Certified Health and Wellness Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in New York. I firmly believe that building healthy habits is the most important investment in our lives. They allow us to live to the fullest, with physical, mental, and emotional balance, and to make the most of our time to achieve our personal goals. A habit refers to a behavior or action that is repeated consistently; it is an automatic response to a specific situation. Living Healthy and Happy means recognizing that our bodies have needs that must be met and limitations that must be respected. Living with intention becomes our motto, and making decisions aligned with our desires is the path to follow. My mission is to find the root cause of why, despite your efforts, you can’t consolidate the habits you desire. Why, even when you start with great enthusiasm and it seems you are succeeding, you slip back into old habits without even realizing it. It’s about identifying the small signals that warn you and having an action plan to help you in those moments. I believe that we are all bio-individuals and that health is multidimensional. What is good for me may not be good for you. Most people simplify health into diet and physical activity. While this is an important part, the reality is that health encompasses much more. From my perspective, the four main areas of health are physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. They are interconnected, and considering them as a whole helps us find different approaches to achieve our goals.
