About me

Hello! I'm a UX Researcher who has been running a successful 1-woman consulting / freelancing business for the past 7 years, working with clients such as Shopify, MTV, Instacart, and Mozilla. I also run a newsletter called Research For All, I create & teach courses for the Maven and O'Reilly Media platforms, and I've given talks at 14 UX conferences around the world. Freelancing / consulting has been a great career path for me. The flexibility it offers me has been incredible, and I've always been able to pay myself more than I would make at an in-house job. I love helping others jump into the world of UX freelancing or work through issues they're experiencing with their clients, project structure, fees, etc. I also love to help out those who are just getting started in UXR, or who are considering making the leap into the field.
