I teach cybersecurity, both sides of it. Defence is SIEM, log analysis, incident response, threat hunting, malware analysis and forensics. Offence is pentesting basics, web application security and the OWASP Top 10. My day job is in a SOC, so the alerts and incidents we work through are real ones. Most people learn defence without ever seeing the attack, then freeze when a real alert lands. I teach it the other way round. We run the attack first, then catch it in the logs. I passed Security+, SC-200 and AWS Cloud Practitioner recently, not ten years ago. I still remember which resources were worth the money and where the exam questions get nasty.
