I’m Yasir Arafat Sharfi, a Senior Software Developer with experience in networking, automotive and storage domains. Currently, I am working as a Software Senior Engineer at Dell in Bangalore on PowerScale storage team which involves developing and maintaining the OneFS operating system, a distributed file system for Dell's scale-out NAS solutions, with a focus on big data, AI/ML, and high-performance computing workloads. Prior to this I was in cisco as a sde3 where I was specialize in developing and optimizing features for high-performance network routers. I was there in cisco for around 2.7 year. Developed features from scratch, developed a tool to monitor for healthcheck of the router, AI-Powered tool kindof assistant to engineers, AWS router based simulation framework and worked on several bugs which gave me a knowledge on end to end networking protocol Prior to my current role, I spent over 3.5 years at Bosch Global Software Technologies in Coimbatore, contributing to critical automotive communication systems and frameworks. My technical journey has provided me with a solid foundation in C, C++, Python, and Java, and I am proficient in both Unix/Linux environments and Windows. With a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the NIT, Durgapur. I have a keen interest in developing efficient, scalableHere are numerous techniques to make websites faster: My key projects include working on Cisco's ASR9K routers, where I developed SRv6 and MPLS functionalities and worked on couple of features like Path tracing using sr over ipv6, did a poc on m4s6m4 using mpls and srv6, performance measurement feature where we have these delay and liveness using srv6 and lastly Path MTU this was all done using c programming, I have also developed a healthcheck tool of the router using python, inside the router making a docker container. and at Bosch, I led the development of automotive Ethernet communication systems and embedded solutions for high-profile clients like BMW, Audi, and Porsche. I have a strong knack for debugging and optimizing complex systems. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new technologies and have a growing interest in robotics, cloud computing and AI/ML.
