Her research interests span gender, sexuality, media, religion, caste, middle class, artificial intelligence, linguistic hierarchies, ageism, postmodernism and urban life. She has presented her work at numerous national and international conferences and published her research in journals, newspapers and books. As the co-founder of SocioScopia, Yagyaseni promotes interdisciplinarity in social science and humanities, advocating for equitable access to academic opportunities both nationally and internationally. Additionally, she is the founder and host of Gendernaama, a podcast where she dives into gender issues, engaging listeners with thoughtful dialogue on topics often left unexplored.
