One-to-One C++ and Embedded Systems Mentoring
Practical C++, embedded systems and Linux mentoring
About me
I am a published C++ author and embedded software engineer with more than 24 years of professional experience across embedded systems, Linux, defence, aerospace, telecommunications, marine navigation and IoT.
I mentor students and software engineers at all levels, from complete beginners learning C++ to experienced developers working on embedded and systems projects or preparing for technical interviews.
I can help with modern C++, object-oriented programming, templates, the Standard Library, pointers, memory management, debugging, data structures, algorithms, multithreading and software design.
My embedded and Linux mentoring covers embedded C and C++, STM32, bare-metal programming, RTOS concepts, hardware interfaces, Linux systems programming, kernel modules, device drivers, device tree, Embedded Linux, Yocto, Buildroot, CMake, cross-compilation and testing.
My lessons combine clear explanations with hands-on coding, guided problem-solving, live coding exercises and practical examples. We can follow a structured learning programme, prepare for an interview, develop a practical project or investigate problems in your existing code.
I am the author of Prompting C++ for Systems Engineering, published by Orange Education. Book details and purchase options: https://techfortalk.co.uk/prompting-cpp-for-systems-engineering/
