I finished my Postdoctoral training at UTSW, where my research focused on the structure determination of transthyretin amyloids using cryoEM. I am an enthusiastic scientist with a keen interest in science communication and entrepreneurship. I have 12+ years of experience in academia and 2 years in the biopharmaceutical industry. I received my M.Tech and PhD in Biophysics from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, where I used analytical and biophysics tools to study the self assembly, aggregation, and inhibition of protein amyloids. Prior to that, I worked for Biocon, India's largest biopharmaceutical company. In my research, I was an excellent team player and strong collaborator, resulting in 17 peer-reviewed scientific publications and three patents. I am also a forward-thinking independent protein scientist with a strong background in chemical biology, structural biology, and biophysics, which lead to the discovery of polyglutamine aggregation inhibitors. To fulfill my passion for bringing science to society, I founded Biopatrika with my wife and co-founder, Preeti Singh. When not working, I enjoy nature photography and science communication."
