About me

I am interested in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Robotics and have done multiple projects in the same. Currently, I am working as a Computer vision Research Engineer at Honda R&D Japan. My day involves solving challenging problems in the field of vision and perception to enable robots to understand the environment better. I have worked on Roads and Lanes detection in the Computer Vision subdivision in SeDriCa, building self driving car of level 4 autonomy for the Indian environment. In the summer of 2019, I worked in collaboration with the US Army Research Labs on video object tracking on Autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles at the University of Missouri-Columbia. My work involved developing a state-of-art tracker built by fusing motion flux, a deep Siamese network, and Yolo detector. In the summer of 2018, I worked at the University of Tokyo on the application of machine learning in the field of bioinformatics and created a visualization to analyze the data deeply. I have previously worked on building an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle, Autonomous Sanitation & Cleanliness robot, and an Autonomous Strawberry plucking bot. I have also done research in the field of computational biology during my summers in my first year. I am skilled in Python (with Keras, OpenCV, and Tensorflow), C++, Java, JavaScript and Matlab. I have a curious mind, and I am an avid reader. I love neo-noir movies and exploring new places.
