Profile of Mr Vinod Zutshi, IAS (Retd.)

Former Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India

Mr Vinod Zutshi joined Indian Administrative Service (IAS) in 1982 and belonged to Rajasthan Cadre. He superannuated in February, 2017 at the post of Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India.

Mr. Zutshi has 35 Years of experience in Central Government and Government of Rajasthan with long experience and exposure in the fields of Tourism, Hospitality,Culture, Civil Aviation, Public Policy ,Administration, Corporate Management,Cooperatives, Education, Law and Electoral Governance.

Mr. Zutshi served as Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India from 2015 to 2017. He has also served as Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India and Deputy Election Commissioner in Election Commission of India.

Mr Zutshi also held following positions at National Level:

Vice Chairman, National Tourism Advisory Council, India; Chairman PATA Chapter India; Board Member, PATA; Chairman, NCHMCT; Chairman, Board of Governors, IHM, Pusa; and Vice Chairman, Board of Governors, IITTM; Director on the Board of IFFCO and KRIBHCO.

He served in Govt of Rajasthan as Secretary Elementary, Secondary and Higher Education; Principal Secretary and Registrar Cooperatives; Secretary, Cabinet; Housing Commissioner; Chairman SPINFED; Director, Information and Public Relations and Collector and District Magistrate of Jaipur, Alwar, Dausa and Dholpur.

He held many more positions in the State of Rajasthan namely, Secretary, Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan; Secretary, Civil Aviation, Govt. of Rajasthan; Commissioner,Tourism, Govt. of Rajasthan; Chairman & Managing Director, Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation; and CMD, Rajasthan State Hotels Corporation.

Mr. Zutshi is an Alumnus of Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University and MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. He is also an Advocate, having qualified LLB from Law Faculty, University of Delhi and enrolled at Bar Council of Delhi.

Mr Zutshi has been a member of UPSC Interview Boards for Civil Service Exams and CAPF Interviews. He has also been a member of Rajasthan Public Service Commission ( RPSC) Interview Boards far RAS and Allied Services Exam.

Mr Zutshi is presently staying in Delhi and has been counselling, mentoring and guiding IAS/CSE aspirants for last 8 years. He has been Chairperson/ Member of the Mock Interview boards and has done more than 3500 Mock Interviews for CSE ( UPSC Exam) and Indian Forest Service Exams during this period.

Mr Zutshi is also a Consultant &;Advisor and a Resource Person in Travel and Tourism, Public Policy, Governance, HRD, Law and Election Administration, for more than 8 years.
