Today, I’m out there feeding homeless people, and honestly, it’s one of those things that hits you right in the chest. You see these folks—someone’s dad, someone’s sister, someone who’s just had life knock them down one too many times—and they’re out here with nothing but the clothes on their backs and maybe a tattered bag of belongings. I’m handing out meals, maybe a warm bowl of soup or a hearty sandwich, and it’s not just about filling their stomachs. It’s about looking them in the eye, seeing the weight they’re carrying, and letting them know, even just for a moment, that they’re not invisible. Some of them smile, a little flicker of hope breaking through the exhaustion, and others just nod, too tired to say much. It breaks my heart a little every time—knowing this one meal isn’t a fix, but praying it’s a spark of warmth in a world that’s been so cold to them. I’m out here because I can’t not be, because every bite I give feels like a tiny fight against the unfairness they’re facing. And yeah, it’s heavy, but it’s worth it to see even one person feel human again, even for a second
