Vignesh Santhanam is the India Lead at the World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Mumbai, where he spearheads initiatives in Drones & Advanced Air Mobility, Autonomous Vehicles, and Space Technology. He was instrumental in launching the groundbreaking ‘Medicine from the Sky’ program in 2021, now expanding to the Himalayan region. Vignesh also heads the India chapter of AVIATE, an advanced air mobility initiative unveiled at the Paris Air Show in June 2023. With a foundation in software engineering and an MBA, Vignesh brings over 15 years of global experience, having managed technology implementation projects across Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, North America, North Africa, and the Middle East. A founding member of the Drone Federation of India, he has significantly contributed to industry advocacy, governance, and policy development. Vignesh is also a published author, having written several reports and articles on the transformative potential of drone technology.
