An independent lawyer for more than a decade now, I practice primarily in field of family law, domestic violence and child related laws. I have been empanelled in the Family Court panel of the South East DSLSA 2018 - 2021. I have authored a book 'Laws for Children in India', published by Thomson Reuters in 2022 which is a one stop reference guide covering ALL the laws for and governing children. This book is one of a kind, and has been praised for the research that went into it. Apart from this, I have published few papers related to International Law. This work was researched into during my pregnancy and while nursing my child post delivery. During my term as Legal Consultant with NGO Bachpan Bachao Andolan, founded by Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, I have been involved with innumerable raid and rescue operations of children in forced and bonded labour. Some of these operations have been dangerous but against all odds and danger to personal life, I have successfully led teams in raid and rescue. Post counselling of parents, many children have been successfully repatriated. I have always been part of the Students' Council and Students' Union in my school and college/university respectively, apart from being a member of the Indian Music choir and Indian Dance Society. During my stay in UK while pursuing LLM, I was actively involved in volunteering at the University's Herbarium (responsible for upkeep of their samples) as well as Student Tutoring (helped students with Reading at the local Primary School), and received the prestigious RED Award for working over and beyond the minimum required hours. I have also worked with the Raghavan Committee and helped in preparation of the anti-ragging report. A self confessed bibliophile, books are life with me preserving books right from my Noddy stage! I am the proud owner of a mini library in my house consisting of more than 1,000 books. I am open to remote and part-time on-site and/or contractual work, as well as active litigation within Delhi.
