I am a Product Manager, Agilist, Technology Enthusiast in that order. I love building products and listening others speak about them. I have realized that one of the most important aspect of building products is to listen to the users. This has helped me to get perspective on their delights and pain points. For me communication is a two way street, and as a Product Manager I believe listening with intention of understanding and asking questions is important. I was an Engineer (still I am!!), then became a consultant and now a Product Manager. These are different roles, but I am fortunate that I played those roles as it has helped me to view products from the shoes of colleagues playing these roles. It has indeed helped me to communicate with them empathetically. I am keenly interested in improving my productivity and that of my teams. Due to my interest in improving the productivity of my team in a systematic way, I have had my hands dirty with the lot of modern tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, Trello, Todoist, Notion, One Note, Evernote, Asana, Azure DevOps, Basecamp, etc., Automation of routine tasks is something that I have been doing for sometime now using the MS Power Automate and a few other browser addons such as Automa. Though it has been a while since I was an engineer, I still have that curiosity to get my hands on the keyboard and start coding. I am continuing to do that, whenever I get some time. I strongly believe in continuously improving oneself and continuous education of people around us so that we can learn and become better as individual and as a community.
