I am a Sr. Retail leader with experience. in business-critical roles across Merchandising, Category Mgmt., Sales & Distribution with retailers such as Hypercity, Reliance, Spencer & Spar. I have successfully enabled complete business solutions in Retail for Food & Grocery (F&G) business in India from Planning to Execution; specialties include Assortment Planning, Marketing, Promotions, Negotiations, Strategy, Distribution; Also have e2e understanding of International assortments of F&G Portfolio. During my tenure with Startup Companies Established Business Model, made unit economics profitable, working on latest inventory models such an API, Hyperlocal, Solving last-mile connectivity, Operational Strategy, I started with Jockey as Sr. Sales Mgr. to establish the brand in Hyderabad in 2000 & moved to Spencer as Asst. Category Mgr.-Apparels. I was then promoted to Category Mgr. - Processed Foods with total ownership for targets & margins. After 4 yrs with Spencers, I joined Spar India in 2005 to manage Top & Bottom line Targets for FMCG Category. After a short stint with Reliance, I joined Hypercity (Since 2006 till date) as Category Mgr.- Processed Food to manage Top & Bottom Line business, later additionally managed Staple, Beverages & Dairy categories in 2008. Shortly thereafter, was promoted to Trading Head – F&G with the mandate to maximize Sales & Profits for the categories for the next 6 yrs. Later promoted to Sr. Trading Head – F&G and thereafter secured the role of AVP - F&G in 2016. With Hypercity I was responsible for a business turnover of 550 Cr. Achieved 2015-16 across 19 stores PAN India with an average product base of 7500 SKU’s per store; here I have successfully delivered top & bottom-line profitability, gross margins, developed new product portfolio strategies & handled International & Private Brand activations.
