My journey from studying pure sciences in school to working in the analytics domain has been nothing short of a joyride. Mathematics and Statistics piqued my interest and helped in the development of my problem-solving skills when I was studying these subjects in my undergraduate degree. It led me to explore the field of business analytics, and how technology can be leveraged to mine the abundant data that humans generate today and gather meaningful insights from it to have some business value. Shortly after my graduation, I found myself working in EY as a Performance Improvement Analyst in the Technology Consulting team. Having just shy of 2 years of work experience in this field, I was involved in the building and reporting of numerous KPIs related to sales, logistics, inventory & savings for a major pharmaceutical company. I then went on to pursue my Master's in Business Analytics from UWA, Perth. During my postgraduate studies, I worked part-time as a Corporate Trainer at a software training firm and also completed a summer vacation program at Rio Tinto. I am best known for my organizational and time management skills. Having a curious mind and a never-ending thirst for gaining knowledge, I am a quick learner. I work well individually as well as in teams. Always there to listen and help in case any of my friends or colleagues need someone to just hear them out! In terms of technical tools, my specialties include Excel, SQL, R, Python, and Power BI. Outside of work, one can find me sweating out while playing table tennis, bingeing on any of the MCU movies or spending fun, quality time with my friends. Being a big-time foodie, I would be seen, more often than not, browsing through online menus and searching for the best deal that I can get! Fun fact about me! I was interviewed by an Australian news channel on the analytics project that I completed with my group for a leading basketball team. Being in the early stage of my career, I look forward to upskilling myself, expanding my skill set, growing my network and diving deep into the vast field of data science.
