With over 15 years of experience in data science and machine learning, I am currently an Engineering Manager at LinkedIn, leading the Responsible AI (Fairness and Explainability) and AI Governance teams. My mission is to ensure that LinkedIn's AI products and systems are ethical, transparent, and accountable, and that they align with the company's vision and values. I have a strong background in computer science, with a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and multiple patents and publications in the field. I have also worked as a Staff Software Engineer at LinkedIn, developing and deploying data mining and machine learning solutions for various business and user needs including job recommendations. During my PhD I have worked on automated mapping of land cover. I am passionate about advancing the state of the art in AI and contributing to the social good. I enjoy collaborating with diverse and talented teams, learning from different perspectives and experiences, and empowering others to achieve their goals.
