In my long corporate career, I have come across many women who do not return to work post their maternity leave. But there is also a large percentage of women who quit within the first 2 years post birth.
The key reason is the role of the mother as the primary caregiver in most households. Exceptions are always there and I am not referring to those right now.
In addition to societal and family expectations, it is the conditioning of the woman herself that tends to put her under tremendous pressure to get everything perfect both as a mother and as a career woman. Unfortunately, more often than not, they end up falling between the cracks of two highly demanding roles.
As a career woman who has battled these issues myself and come out on the other side, I feel that I have the privilege to help younger women who are feeling overwhelmed and on the verge of quitting their jobs.
I am passionate about helping women continue with their career journeys while enjoying one of the happiest times of our lives - motherhood.
