I am an Engineering Manager working in the Flipkart Cloud Platform (FCP) managing three critical portfolios - Managed Distributed SQL, Managed MySQL and Backup/Restore product. I have led, built and currently managing one of the largest on-prem managed MySQL fleet in India; the Backup & Restore product is one of a kind product unavailable in most other clouds with the range of data-stores it supports, and finally the Distributed SQL is enabling Flipkart to burst into the cloud and enable the Hybrid Cloud transformation. After having experienced 8 Big Billion Days, I believe I have a core understanding of how to build fail-safe, high throughput, low latency distributed systems and also how to scale them accordingly. I am quite passionate about creating intuitive products for the end-user and therefore aim to design products that make sense. I have worked on a broad range of technologies including Distributed Systems, Big Data, Search Engines, Middleware, Front End, Android among others. I also have a basic understanding of Machine Learning. From the product management side, I have completed a certificate course from IIM-K.
