"Not another brick in the wall." Ever since I entered the Engineering domain, I have been terrified of being another brick in the wall. Hence, I make a conscious effort on a daily basis to differentiate myself, be it in terms of the tasks I take up, or how I execute tasks that are assigned to me. Working at Samsung R&D Institute at Bangalore over the past 3 years, I have donned multiple hats and have gotten immense opportunities to break out of that wall. Be it staying on top of technology by using the latest cloud(AWS, GCP, etc) and container (Docker) technologies, or building out POCs and in-house solutions for various requirements, I have gained an extensive experience as a back-end engineer. Giving technical presentations on a multitude of topics such as Kubernetes and Prometheus, and presenting project demos have helped me hone my communication(and Googling) skills immeasurably. And ofcourse being in a research-based organisation, I am grateful to have thrived in an environment where innovation and ideation are fostered, and I have learnt to question the obvious at every step. I try to be a better version of myself everyday. Looking out for opportunities that allow me to expand my horizons across different dimensions.
