About me

A talented and experienced GCP DevOps Engineer is responsible for deploying and managing applications, systems, and services in a Google cloud environment. The DevOps Engineer will use automation and deploying practices, including containerization through Docker to build, maintain, and secure Google cloud infrastructure. Additionally, the DevOps Engineer will evaluate and analyze current cloud infrastructure and suggest improvements for increased efficiency. I am able to design, develop and deploy large-scale, customized and secure cloud-native architectures based on GCP. I use my technical understanding of the various cloud offerings such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes, Cloud SQL, App Engine and Cloud Dataflow, to create efficient solutions. I am also able to leverage various serverless GCP services like Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Datastore and BigQuery for data streaming, data analytics, data processing and data storage solutions. The ideal candidate for this role must have experience developing and implementing DevOps practices on Google Cloud and possess a strong understanding of automation, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and container and virtualization platforms. The DevOps engineer must also have experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and be knowledgeable with web servers, databases, and other web technologies. Essential duties of the DevOps Engineer include installing, configuring, and maintaining Google cloud applications and services; designing and implementing automated build, deploy, and integration infrastructures; deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting cloud applications and services; and designing and deploying backups and disaster recovery systems. Additionally, the DevOps Engineer must strive to optimize performance, security and cost effectiveness for current and future cloud solutions.
