Usama Masood is an Applied AI Scientist with over a decade of experience in developing AI-driven solutions and leading cross-functional teams of data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts. His expertise lies in designing domain-aware AI architectures by integrating domain knowledge in AI-based systems, for solving complex real world challenges. At AT&T Labs, Usama plays a key role in creating advanced AI-based tools to automate and optimize wireless networks, focusing on improving both operational efficiency and customer experience. One of his notable projects, "GenAI Agent-based RAN Engineer Co-pilot," leverages Agentic and Generative AI to revolutionize root cause analysis in next-generation mobility networks. Usama holds a PhD in Machine Learning from the University of Oklahoma, where his research centered on enhancing the generalizability and adaptability of AI systems in dynamic environments. Prior to joining AT&T, he worked at T-Mobile USA, where he developed large-scale solutions for network planning and troubleshooting within advanced wireless technologies.
