About me

Urooj Nisar is an Assistant Professor in Economics at Government College of Commerce & Management Studies for Women, where she teaches and conducts research on socioeconomic issues. She is also the Founder of Institute of Creative Destruction, a think tank that engages youth and women in policy and development discourse. She has multiple certifications and fellowships from prestigious organizations, such as the International Visitor Leadership Program, the Global Shapers Community, and G(irls)20. She is currently pursuing her MSc in Development Studies at SOAS University of London as a Chevening Scholar, a prestigious award that supports future leaders and influencers. She aims to deepen her knowledge and skills in development research and practice, and to contribute to the advancement of women and girls in Pakistan and beyond. She holds a BS in Economics from University of Peshawar, where she graduated with distinction and developed a digital inclusion index for Pakistani districts.
