About this product

Design systems can feel overwhelming: tokens, variants, governance, versioning. This handbook explains all of it in plain language, with real examples from real systems and templates you can use at work or in your portfolio.

It is a 100+ page PDF with 39 chapters across seven parts, written for UI/UX designers at every level.

What’s inside

  • The big picture: what a design system is, why teams build them, a short history, and how to decide if you need one
  • Foundations: color, typography, spacing and grids, elevation and motion, icons, and design tokens in depth, including the Design Tokens Community Group format (2025.10)
  • Components and patterns: anatomy, a gallery of 50+ UI elements, deep dives (buttons, forms, tables, modals), patterns, content design, accessibility (WCAG 2.2) and cross-platform design
  • Building your system: interface audit, strategy, team models, a 90-day roadmap, Figma setup, design-to-code workflow and documentation
  • Running it: governance, versioning, adoption, metrics, scaling and why systems fail
  • Learn from the best: 12 real systems to study (Material Design 3, Apple HIG, GOV.UK, Atlassian, IBM Carbon, Shopify Polaris and more) and a 30-minute teardown method
  • Career and portfolio: roles and skills, interview questions, portfolio projects and a weekend starter project

Plus ready-to-use templates

A launch checklist, component documentation template, token naming cheat sheet, audit spreadsheet columns, quick-reference numbers, a glossary and curated resources.

Hi Siddhi I am a Civil Engineer left my job and started learning UI/UX. As a self learner I am very anxious about where to start my journey. I learned Figma and did a very basic case study. I am confused and I don't know anyone from the UX background. I am stressed about my life and being helpless I gave up. As a homemaker I am restarting my career to become an UI UX designer. Your e-book has a good information about all the requirements so I am restarting my prep. Soon I will book a 1:1 call with you after getting good understanding of everything ThankYou:-)
