About me

My name is Tushar Vadera, and I've spent 18+ years building and scaling ventures across D2C, SaaS, and unified commerce. I'm currently Founder & CEO of SetMyCart, an AI-powered unified commerce platform helping consumer brands sell seamlessly across online, offline, and B2B channels. I also lead investor relations at Headstart Network Foundation, India's largest founder community, where I built Capital Connect an initiative that has already enabled 130+ curated investor meetings between top startups and 15 leading VC funds. Alongside this, I actively advise enterprises and manufacturing businesses on practical AI adoption helping them automate, personalise, and actually use AI, not just talk about it. I've mentored over 1,000 founders on growth, GTM, and fundraising, and personally guided 20,000+ students and freshers on building careers in tech and entrepreneurship. I've had the experience, across brands, capital, and technology and I'm happy to share it with you :)

Frequently asked questions

1. What kind of founders/businesses do you work with?

I work with D2C and consumer brands at various stages from early idea validation to scaling across channels as well as enterprise and manufacturing businesses exploring AI adoption. If you're unsure whether your stage or industry fits, message me before booking and I'll be honest about whether I can add value.

2. What's the difference between the Quick Call and the Validation Call?

The Quick Call (30 mins) is a fast, focused gut-check best if you have a specific question or need a quick sanity check. The Validation Call is a deeper session where we go through your problem, customer, GTM, and early metrics in detail. If you're not sure which one you need, start with the Quick Call.

3. Do I need to prepare anything before the call?

Yes, come with context. For startup calls, a one-pager, deck, or even a few lines describing your idea/traction helps. For enterprise AI calls, a brief overview of your current operations or the challenge you're trying to solve makes the session far more useful. The more specific you are, the more actionable the advice will be.

4. Can you help with fundraising and investor introductions?

I can help you get investor-ready sharpening your pitch, positioning, and story drawing on my experience with Headstart's investor network and Capital Connect. I don't guarantee introductions, but if there's a strong fit with someone in my network, I'm happy to make a warm connection.

6. Do you only advise on AI for tech companies?

No, most of my enterprise AI work is with manufacturing and traditional businesses that are non-tech-first. I focus on practical use cases: automation, personalisation, and operational efficiency not building AI products from scratch.

9. Do you work with international founders/businesses, or only India-based ones?

While my primary focus and network is India's D2C and startup ecosystem, I'm happy to advise founders and enterprises from other markets, especially where the challenges around GTM, AI adoption, or channel strategy are similar.

8. Is this advice generic, or specific to my business?

Everything I share is based on your specific context I don't use templated frameworks. Expect direct, sometimes uncomfortable feedback, but always grounded in what's realistic for your business, not generic startup advice.
