About me
Hi there 👋🏼 My name is Tim and I'm an experience designer and former research scientist based in Vancouver, Canada.
I'm a PhD grad from the University of Toronto where I worked on the molecular biology of the DNA damage response using CRISPR/Cas9-based functional genomics in Dan Durocher's lab (www.durocherlab.org). Now, I apply my research and design skills as a UX Designer with the BC Public Service.
I help prospective grad school applicants refine their career goals, as well as mentor new grad students to navigate the ups and downs of academic research and biotech. I aim to be especially candid with my mentees and won't hold back from digging into the nitty-gritty of my successes and failures. I am also open to reviewing design portfolios and having a discussion about what excites you in your day-to-day work!
Feel free to say hi on LinkedIn. My inbox is always open. Looking forward to connecting!
