🌟 Hi, I’m Thivin! I hold a PhD in Computational and Data Sciences from IISc Bangalore, where I specialize in Scientific Machine Learning, High Performance Computing, and Finite Element Methods for CFD problems. Alongside research, I’m deeply passionate about teaching and mentoring students, researchers, and professionals. 🔬 What I Do -------------- Computational Methods & HPC: - Built Finite Element solvers for 3D incompressible free-surface flows (C++ / ParMooN). - Developed GPU-accelerated particle tracking models for airflow in human airways. - Designed asynchronous GPU mesh movement solvers for ALE-based FEM methods. Scientific ML & MLOps: - Lead developer of FastVPINNs, a tensor-driven framework that achieves 100x speedups over existing methods, with CI/CD + Docker support. - Applied Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) to fluid flow problems and singularly perturbed systems. Teaching & Mentorship: - TA/Instructor for 10+ courses at IISc, teaching 500+ learners from academia and industry. - Topics include Numerical Methods, Finite Element Methods, Machine Learning, and MLOps.
