About me
As a human of mental health profession, I view psychotherapy as the space of growing and becoming; discovering and re-discovering as we experience life. I believe the world is a difficult place as it is, psychotherapy can be a space for us to experience, learn and practice gentleness and slowness.
I practice from a pluralistic approach and strongly believe in the value of uniqueness of a therapy space; I am majorly inclined towards Humanistic, Existential, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Social Justice schools of thought, and often bring in arts and somatic-based practices in my space.
While I hold a master's in clinical, I view the therapy process a non-diagnostic lens wherein the emphasis is more on the lived experiences and reality rather than labelling the concerns themselves. Having said that, I also recognise the value in how these diagnostic labels give meaning to experiences.
I view mental health from a systemic and feminist lens and am an on-going learner of trauma-informed, neuro and queer-informed+affirmative therapy practices.
