PRO BONO EMOTIONAL WELLNESS & PSYCHOLOGY SUPPORT About Me

I am an M.A. Psychology graduate with a strong interest in emotional wellness, psychological well-being, and accessible mental-health support. My approach is centred around creating a safe, respectful, confidential, and non-judgmental space where individuals can express themselves openly and feel heard.

I believe that seeking support should not be limited by financial circumstances. Through my pro bono initiative, I aim to make basic emotional-wellness support and psychologically informed guidance more accessible to individuals who may otherwise find it difficult to seek support.

Areas I Can Support With

My sessions can provide supportive, non-clinical guidance around:

Stress and everyday emotional difficulties Self-esteem and self-confidence Negative self-talk and self-criticism Emotional awareness and self-understanding Academic and student-related stress Life transitions and adjustment Motivation and personal growth Healthy coping strategies Basic stress-management techniques Grounding and relaxation techniques Supportive listening CBT-informed self-reflection and psychoeducation Psychology-related career and academic guidance My Approach

Each individual has a different background, experience, and way of coping. Therefore, I aim to approach conversations with:

Empathy — listening without unnecessary judgment.

Respect — recognising each person's experiences and boundaries.

Confidentiality — treating personal information with care and discretion.

Collaboration — working with the individual rather than simply telling them what to do.

Psychoeducation — helping individuals understand psychological concepts and practical coping strategies.

Person-centred support — allowing the individual to determine what feels most relevant to their situation.

What a Session May Include

Depending on your concerns, a session may involve:

Understanding what you are currently experiencing. Identifying thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and possible stressors. Exploring patterns that may be affecting your well-being. Introducing appropriate psychological concepts or self-reflection exercises. Identifying practical coping strategies. Developing small, realistic next steps. Reviewing what support may be appropriate going forward. Who Can Apply?

This initiative is intended for individuals who:

Are experiencing financial difficulty and cannot comfortably afford paid sessions. Would benefit from supportive emotional-wellness guidance. Are willing to participate respectfully and honestly in the sessions. Understand that the service is intended for appropriate non-emergency concerns. Important Scope & Safety Note

These pro bono sessions are intended for emotional-wellness support, psychoeducation, supportive listening, and psychologically informed self-help guidance.

They are not a substitute for psychiatric care, emergency intervention, or diagnosis and treatment by a licensed mental-health professional.

I do not provide emergency crisis intervention, prescribe medication, or independently manage situations requiring urgent psychiatric or specialist care.

If a person's concerns require a level of care beyond my scope, I will encourage them to seek appropriate support from a qualified mental-health professional or relevant healthcare service.

Why Pro Bono?

Mental-health support should be more accessible.

Financial limitations should not automatically mean that someone has to navigate emotional difficulties completely alone.

Through this initiative, my goal is to offer a small but meaningful space where individuals can pause, talk, reflect, understand themselves better, and identify healthier ways forward.

A Message to Anyone Considering Support

You don't need to have everything figured out before asking for help.

You don't need to wait until things become unbearable.

Sometimes, reaching out is simply the first step toward understanding what you are going through.

You deserve to be heard. You deserve to be treated with respect. And you don't have to navigate every difficult moment by yourself.
