About me
"Powerful people come from powerful places"
I don't. I come from Haldwani. Life's simple here. Actually, good. I've always excelled at academics and extracurricular both. Directed & acted in school plays. School's poster boy. Everyone's favorite.
Not that a big deal though. I was one of the 4 students in our batch ( 12th-PCM) at school. Yes, just 4. I was underexposed but extremely curious & hardworking. I ranked 99+ percentiles in National Level examinations like JEE, IISERAT, etc.
Fun fact: I share my same alma mater with Mr Mukesh Ambani & several other super successful entrepreneurs running Asian Paints, Pidilite, etc. It's inspiring to know that these legends too sat on same benches, ate in same canteen & went on to build huge empires. Why can't i?
By Dec'18, I was sure to start up. Asked my father to drop out. Fortunately/unfortunately, he denied. Multiple times.
On Feb 26th '19, I began freelancing with David Wagstaff, Founder of Eprenz (one of USA's largest community for entrepreneurs) & ClarityFi, a US-based financial consultancy firm.
I was closely working with David on multiple Community initiatives ranging from marketing, growth, product management, etc.
In June'19, I became probably the youngest freelancer in the world to be recognized with the Rising Talent Badge by Upwork Inc.
Then I operated SIPWay School, a community-led education initiative from ideation to above 500+ students. Our AUM grew twice to $270k+ within just 3 months of launch!
Started Serri (Edtech), got pre-incubated at IIT-M, & raised funds from Harvard alum.
Build enSeed, profitable & bootstrapped education biz.
Lately, I served as interim CEO at Younited Communities, a community-tech startup.
With learnings & earnings so far, I'm building Serri. Won Eureka! Raised $125K pre-seed from investors from ๐ฎ๐ณ๐ธ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐พ๐ฏ๐ต. Build a solid team. Scaled to $500K with just 5 folks in a year. Profitable, cashflow positive. Growing 40% MoM. Touching $1M soon!
I think the secret to this success lies in questioning the conventional approaches, thinking ground up from first principles & being kind.
I read a lot about biz, finance, economics, biology, filmmaking, marketing, technology, history, sales, etc. It helps more than just reading startup advice (which btw is mostly useless propaganda by wannabe VCs, coaches, etc).
Let me know if I can help you with anything. My parents taught me, "If God made you capable of helping someone, it's your duty to do so".
