Thanks Tejas. I enjoyed talking about the AV industry and learning about a different business model with public shuttle systems.
The discussion on optimization methods too was great and gave me background on some areas to research.

About me
Hello! My name is Tejas Santanam and I did my BS Industrial Engineering and MS Analytics at Georgia Tech. I have a few years of experience doing ML/Optimization research, primarily in transportation and mobility contexts, as well as some data science consulting work. I’m also grateful to have been a part of multiple entrepreneurial environments. I have experience all over the tech stack and am always interested in learning new concepts. I enjoy applying machine learning methods, optimization methods, and geospatial data analysis/visualization to tackle research problems to improve the quality of human life. I’m very interested in problems surrounding transit system design/delivery, such as routing, site selection, multimodality, and autonomous navigation. I get to work on these TransitTech problems and more in my role as a Research Engineer at Beep (https://ridebeep.com). I am also grateful to pursue my passion for teaching as a Lecturer at Georgia Tech's #1 School of Industrial and Systems Engineering, where I teach Constraint Programming and Network Science courses. Connect with me to discuss more about transportation, autonomous mobility, operations research, machine learning, teaching, and my experiences in industry and academia!
