This mock interview focuses on assessing your system design skills, scaling your performance on a 1-to-10 range, and identifying the areas where improvement is needed. It helps you address key technical details, resolve ambiguities, and overcome challenges that arise during the design process.

I will come up with a system design question that is both generic and broad enough to apply to multiple use cases. For example, designing a feed timeline—a concept relevant to platforms like Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, or any system that displays posts in a timeline format.

Interview Structure:

  • 1–3 minutes: Brief introductions.
  • 3–5 minutes: Presentation of the system design question.
  • 5–45 minutes: Mock interview, simulating a real-world design discussion.
  • 45–50 minutes: Feedback and closing remarks.

Note:

This session does not include a tutorial on how to approach system design problems. It assumes that you already have a step-by-step approach to solving system design questions. If you need guidance on how to approach these problems or general steps to apply to any system design question, please consider booking my 'Interview Prep & Tips' session.
