As an engineer turned marketing strategist, Tarun thrives on transforming challenges into opportunities and crafting innovative solutions from the ground up. Beginning his career as a Co-Founder & CMO at Plan The Unplanned, Tarun spearheaded a venture that served 20,000 travelers and nearly generated half a million dollars in revenue. This entrepreneurial journey ignited his passion for creating impactful ventures. Transitioning into the tech industry, Tarun assumed the role of CMO at Recro, where he efficiently built a robust marketing team in 75% less time compared to his previous endeavors. Under his leadership, Recro witnessed a 500% growth in follower base and a 50% increase in engagement, alongside building a thriving community of over 10,000 developers and technology enthusiasts. Continuing his commitment to helping businesses traverse the 0 to 1 journey, Tarun joined Spektra Systems, where he established a team of 15+ members within a year. Leading all marketing initiatives, he orchestrated the successful go-to-market strategy for the CLX project in collaboration with Microsoft, achieving an additional $0.5 million to ARR. Tarun's strategic direction led to a doubling of website traffic and inbound leads by 100% and revenue growth by 120% ($ 5 million to $12 million), showcasing his adeptness at accelerating growth and delivering tangible results. All this experience taught me how to be great at building teams, marketing in b2b/b2c products/services space, setting up teams/processes from ground-up, branding, SEO, content marketing, social media marketing, implementing CRM like Hubspot or WordPress, go to market strategy for products/services and effective at solving problems in a most efficient way Besides marketing, I take a keen interest in trekking, backpacking solo, human psychology, storytelling, entrepreneurship, cycling and gardening. When I’m not working, I spend my time traversing new trails, meeting new people, exploring diverse cultures, experimenting with food dishes, and reading books!
