About me
As a first-generation college-goer and a Humanities student, passionate about catalyzing education to drive social change, I started my career at the age of 18 as a Learning Facilitator in a non-profit in the slums of Dharavi in Mumbai. Working and engaging with the beneficiaries of the community encouraged me to become a critical thinker, an active observer and drive social change with compassion, resilience and community-centric decisions.
Thereon, I leveraged my passion by upskilling myself to lead programs revolutionizing the public education system in India to make quality education accessible and equitable.
At the age of 23, I got the opportunity to lead large-scale education, work-readiness and skill development projects for underprivileged youth and women and lead a team of frontline officers, thus becoming the youngest mid-level manager in a nation-wide nonprofit.
Since then, I’ve worked in mid-level management of well-known nonprofits and independently led consulting projects on designing learning experiences, training teachers, and making learning innovative and exciting along the way.
During my journey in the social impact space, I’ve always been passionate about human-centric coaching, assisting learners in navigating career paths, transitioning smoothly into corporate jobs and making sustainable career decisions.
Helping people develop effective work-readiness skills is a domain which I personally feel is extremely important in today’s age but is not much talked about. At an individual level, I aspire to change that by collaborating with meaningful companies and hosting work-readiness workshops and 1:1 coaching sessions.
Therefore, as someone who has worked extensively in the education domain with a client portfolio ranging from global nonprofits, government agencies, edtech startups to social enterprises impacting over 40,000 beneficiaries, I would like to share my learnings, experiences and adventures with the world.
Outside of work, I love travelling solo, running an e-commerce business, reading about history, architecture, design-thinking, and decorating spaces. I’m a creative individual who loves expressing her thoughts via writing and photography.
If you are looking for guidance in CV design, interview preparation, Linkedin review, want to pivot to the social impact space, looking for support in designing education/skill development programs or aspire to transition out of a teaching job to an instructional design role, hit me up!
Through Topmate, I aspire to create a safe space and offer help in career coaching, social impact career navigation, program design, designing learning experiences, training educators and solo travelling!
