Growing up in Kolkata, I always saw my father prioritising work as he wanted to provide the best facilities for our family of four. I have learnt from him that I must have a full commitment to anything I do and should demonstrate a strong work ethic. I have embraced these principles from my early days. I also developed an understanding of businesses and what customers want. So, choosing Commerce was a natural choice. During my graduation from J.D. Birla Institute, I learnt the importance of discipline and culture to see new things through completion apart from academics. My articleship taught me that we have to constantly learn, update and adapt to stay relevant. I know that we must constantly learn new technology and deliver exceptional results to grow in our careers. I am glad I was able to identify material discrepancies leading to revenue leakage in companies. I contributed meaningfully towards adding client value during my articleship. Post qualifying I worked with the Poonawalla Group in their Treasury department. I have learnt a lot from managing the Business Initiatives of BeerBiceps Media, which has proved to be a huge learning curve for me. When I am not working, I love reading books, writing, networking with people at various social events and hearing about their experiences. That helps me understand different perspectives.
