Life is not primarily a quest for pleasure, as Freud believed, or a quest for power, as Alfred Adler taught, but a quest for meaning, said Viktor E. Frankl. As a curious crusader in search for my meaning, my expedition has had several checkpoints. I graduated with a major is bioinformatics and went on to explore the healthcare IT space and experienced the power of digitization. I learnt that healthcare is indeed too important to stay the same. Being a TEDx organizer, IEEE-Women in Engineering board member and avid badminton player, broadened my horizons. The amalgamation of these experiences piqued my interest in organizational psychology and how organizations function. The next pitstop was a master’s in business administration with specialization in human resources from Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi. The desire to learn more coupled with internships with one of the biggest consulting firms in the performance management function; one of the largest conglomerates in the organization development and talent management function and building a start up from ground up in the executive search space deepened my fascination for the human capital function. My present journey entails exploring the recruitment space. I am hiring for D. E. Shaw and passionately connecting talented professionals (read – You!) to career opportunities that would enable them to unleash their true potentials and create an impact that matters. I currently specialize in end-to-end recruitments, stakeholder management, project management and market research. As Viktor puts it, those who have a ‘why’ to live, can bear with almost any ‘how’, presently my ‘why’ is to contribute effectively to the human capital arm because to win at the marketplace it’s imperative to win at the workplace.
