I am a teacher of Hebrew at a school in South Africa. We follow an amazing curriculum that gets you to speak and read the alphabet in 2 lessons! What these lessons are not 1. If you´re not interested in speaking and just want to learn grammar only then these classes are not for you 2. The lessons are not boring but fun and exciting. 3. This is not an unstructured class but a methodical step by step process to learn the Hebrew language rapidly. I have looked at a number of methodologies-this ranks at the top. When I was working in Israel for the competition I was told that this method was the ´Harvard´ of programs out there. 4. If you´re not prepared to put in 5 mins per day to go over course work material then this class is not for you 5. It will not take you months to have basic conversations. This not a long and tedious process. You will get results quickly. Statistics show that recall is about 5-10% when listening passively to a lecture. However it jumps to 95% when stimulated. Lessons structured here are fun and interactive. Knowing that people have different ways to assimilate information-some people are auditory learners, others are visual and still others are kinesthetic learners (they need to be involved practically). The lessons are structured in such as way that will assimilate all learning styles so that you can learn and more importantly remember the information you learn. From the first trial lesson you will be able to start a basic conversation as well as be familiar with and read the alphabet. The curriculum I follow starts from beginner to intermediate level by which time you will be able to speak, read and write in Hebrew!
