After spending almost five years working in talent agencies, I made the decision to pivot and become a data analyst versed in Excel, SQL, Tableau, and Python. The pandemic hit and I was out of a job. After much searching, I found Fullstack Academy's Data Analytics Bootcamp. As I read the description, everything began to click. I would be able to combine my prior experience with quarterly revenue and managing spreadsheets at a level that would improve businesses. After a rigorous application process, I was 1/25 selected out of 700 applicants. This was going to be my next chapter. The more I explored the world of data the more I realized I was in the right place. Being a data analyst allows me to spend hours getting to know my data in order to find new insights and solve complex business problems. Through visualizations, I effectively present my findings in a meaningful way that informs business decisions. By becoming a data analyst, I am able to combine both my academic learning and artistic skills to push businesses forward.
