About me
I'm an experienced quantitative data professional, specializing in creating efficiency within organizations and minimizing risk. I excel at transforming logistics and flow systems to be more data-driven; centered on provable mathematical systems and held up by strong data pipelines in both cloud and on-premises setups.
Currently, I work as a Senior Data Analyst in the British Columbia Public Service, where I create and optimize models to minimize risk of resources expended by the public sector. In addition, I oversee regulatory and internal controls, as well as data integrity and reporting.
In the past I worked in both the public and private sectors. In the public sphere, I've worked as a Senior Data Analyst with the BC Government, working to optimize benefits and taxation. In the private sphere, I was a Senior Data Analyst at Bolt in their Tallinn office where I worked to optimize the company's pricing data and algorithms across the 130+ markets it operates in. In short, I used market data to help find micro price adjustments that resulted in significant efficiency in pricing
Before joining Bolt, I was a Data Scientist at Afiniti, a top 100 AI firm, where I worked with clients based in the UK to optimize call centers using advanced AI algorithms. I was part of a team that created more than one million pounds in additional revenue in Q2022 for Sky UK, one of Afiniti's clients. I developed and deployed large scale, real time end-to-end data model pipelines from SQL databases to run-time deployment.
In my free time I also enjoy teaching; I work as a tutor with Varsity Tutors, teaching undergraduate statistics and economics.
I have a strong educational background in Mathematics, Econometrics, and theoretical Statistics. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Economics from McGill University in 2018, where I also worked as a Research Assistant and a Wize Prof. I have also obtained multiple certifications in machine learning and data science as well as a cloud practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services.
