I bootstrapped the dbt platform and built scalable ingestion frameworks on GCP (Pub/Sub, Datastream, GCS), ensuring cost-aware and AI-ready foundations. Previously at Snoonu (Jahez), I implemented enterprise Data Quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Evidently AI), established governance standards, and engineered modular ELT using dbt across multi-cloud environments. At Alibaba Group (Daraz), as Head of Data Governance – Regional, I led Governance 360, an enterprise-wide initiative profiling data tool usage, cost allocation, and governance tracking. My initiatives delivered $220K+ in annual savings through compute optimization, storage tiering, and governance automation. I also led SWAT operations during mega campaigns (11.11, 12.12), ensuring platform readiness and revenue optimization.
