Usually, you attend a solutions journalism training and then you are on your own. You are inspired and motivated by the concept of solutions journalism, but struggle to publish your stories. It's confusing to identify your story, and when you do, you are not sure if it's SoJo or how to set up the pillars. And this is normal.

I work with journalists and newsrooms all over the globe and every successful SoJo initiative needs an initial handholding. Look at all the major SoJo fellowships and grants and you will know what I mean. I am associated with several of these programs myself where I mentor journalists to solutions journalism on their stories or series of stories.

I have some available hours when I can help - freelancers and staffers - to identify your story from the larger theme or topic, visualize a structure for it, identify the four pillars and work on them, and expedite publishing your solutions story. Climate solutions reporting is my favourite pet, social justice and health run a close second, and if you report on education, these shouldn't deter you because the SoJo framework is same for all beats and all journalists.
