  • Speaking with Swathi was the most reassuring parts of my JJ/WBGSP journey so far. She was warm, approachable, and generous with her time. What stood out most was how honestly she shared her own experience, while also giving practical advice tailored to my situation. I’m truly grateful for her support, and I would highly recommend connecting with her.

  • It was super helpful talking to Swathi about my scholarship goals for all the grad schools I've applied to. She has great clarity of thought, explained exactly what's required of me for these processes, and gave me helpful tips that'll help me create a more compelling case for myself. We went way over time, and she was super accomodative and sweet. Glad I got to pick her brain, getting to know her career journey was inspiring, and the suggestions she's given me will be extremely useful.

About me

Hi, I'm Swathi! I've lived a few lives. Worked with a grassroots nonprofit in the Central Tribal Belt of India. Was Chief Program Officer at a Forbes-featured agri-business startup. Consulted for state governments. Worked with asset managers and impact investors on sustainable finance. I also failed. Twice at the UPSC. Dozens of scholarship applications in India that went nowhere. Then I applied to three policy schools in the US, got into all three, and won the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship, $215,000, to study Masters in Public Administration at Columbia University. I know what failure feels like. I know what feeling lost and wondering if you're on the right path feels like. And I know what it's like when things finally click. I've been quietly helping students with college applications and scholarship essays for a few years now. This is me making it proper. Come talk if you're working through applications or just need someone who's been through it. Also happy to chat about anything impact. Won't charge you for that one ;)
