Career & Domain Switch
Plan your career or switch domains with clarity
About me
Hello Visitor,
I’m a Senior Cyber Engineer working in Forward Security Deployment at Flipkart, focused on building and deploying AI-driven security capabilities while working at the intersection of AI Security and Security for AI.
My career, however, didn't start anywhere close to AI.
I’m an accidental engineer. I never had a clear career plan, and at one point I was actually quite sure that I didn't want to become an engineer.
I started my professional journey in production support, where I learned what it really means to run systems in production dealing with incidents in the middle of the night, disaster recovery, troubleshooting and seeing how something as simple as a terminal command can have a real business impact.
That experience eventually led me towards DevOps.
I spent a lot of time learning cloud, automation and infrastructure, building my own labs and experimenting until I found my way into DevSecOps.
At Honeywell, I got deeper into the engineering side of DevSecOps - SAST, SCA, secrets, containers, CI/CD security and secure software delivery.
Then came IKEA, where my career moved deeper into Product Security.
Over 3.5 years, I worked across Product Security, Threat Modelling and DevSecOps, eventually leading DevSecOps initiatives across the organization. That experience taught me how security works beyond individual tools across products, engineering teams, processes and organizational scale.
And then came another transition: AI.
I upskilled into AI, then AI Security, and eventually moved into my current role at Flipkart, where I work on Forward Security Deployment — building security capabilities with AI while also thinking deeply about how those AI systems should be secure, reliable and production-ready.
Today, my interests sit at the intersection of:
AI Security · Agentic AI · AI Evaluation · DevSecOps · Product Security · Cloud Security
I'm particularly interested in building production-grade Agentic AI systems and thinking about architecture, reliability, evaluation, security, observability and the lessons that only become obvious when you actually try to build and deploy them.
Alongside my work, I actively contribute to the AI-SEC community and serve as a Bangalore chapter lead for the Agentic AI Foundation. I enjoy writing, speaking, building projects and, most importantly, helping people learn.
Why I mentor
Because I've been confused about my career many times.
I've changed domains. I've learned things that turned out not to matter. I've struggled to understand what companies actually expect from a role.
I've built projects that taught me more through failure than success. And I've figured out many things through trial and error.
So when I mentor, I don't want to give you a generic roadmap.
If you're a student or fresher trying to figure out where to start, we'll work backwards from the kind of role you want.
If you're an early-career engineer trying to move into DevSecOps, Product Security or AI Security, we'll identify the actual gaps and what you should build or learn.
If you're 5–7 years into your career and thinking about switching domains or roles, we'll look at how to reposition the experience you already have instead of starting from zero.
If you're building an Agentic AI or AI Security project, we can discuss architecture, design, evaluation, reliability, security and how to make the project meaningful enough to demonstrate real engineering ability.
And if you're struggling with your resume, LinkedIn or personal brand, we can work on how to communicate the experience you already have.
I don't believe there is a perfect career path.
I believe there is a next step that makes sense given where you are today.
That's what I want to help you find.
Bring me your career dilemma, domain switch, project idea, AI architecture, learning roadmap, resume or job challenge.
I'll share what I've learned, including the mistakes, wrong turns and lessons that I wish someone had shared with me earlier.
